Basil Lettuce Wraps

  1. Heat oil in a large wok until the oil begins to smoke.
  2. Add protein, if desired, and sauté until almost done.
  3. Add the red onion and jalapenos and sauté them for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the sweet chili sauce, lime juice, sugar, Thai basil, fish sauce and shredded carrots. Cook for about another 2 minutes.
  5. Serve alongside the lettuce cups and garnish with the crushed peanuts.
